Discrimination Surfaces in Bad Economy
Latinos say they hurt most by poor economy, but remain optimistic.
More than half of Latinos in a national survey maintain that the struggling economy has affected them more acutely than other ethnic groups, Pew reports. Citing unemployment, loss of home ownership, and personal finance woes as key contributors to their malaise, Latinos say they have suffered more than any other cohort. However, Latinos are more optimistic than others about positive prospects ahead, the survey notes.
